2021 Update

Dear Comedy Friends!

2021 has blown by and we are still here, though, like all arts organizations, we are trying to find our “new normal” while we are still in this pandemic. You will find that we are hosting our 2021 festival virtually and will be featuring table reads of our fantastically funny 2021 screenplay winners. This event will be held on zoom and we welcome you to join us to celebrate these writers and actors.

While we hoped we would be back to an in person event this year, we were unable to make that happen while our venue remains closed to the public. Many of our staff, interns, and volunteers have taken other opportunities and/or relocated. However, we are keeping submissions open and maintaining optimism for the future!

We hope that you are maintaining a sense of artistic normalcy yourselves and you are staying safe and healthy!

Update regarding the 2020 Festival: Chicago Comedy Film Festival will host a virtual festival May 11-16th. Please stay tuned for more information!

Dear Comedy Film Communities and Comedy Film Lovers,

As we anticipated Columbia College has closed indefinitely. We are glad we got the word out to you as early as we possibly could. We do not have enough information today to secure new dates for the festival.

We have initiated the process to refund all ticket orders. According to Film Freeway this will take up to two business days to process. If you have any concerns about this please contact us at admin@chicagocomedyfilmfestival.com. Ticket holders will be notified of the rescheduled dates as soon as we have that information. We will keep you informed as the situation evolves and decisions come from Columbia College.

We started this festival to support the comedy film community. These are strenuous times. Please continue to support one another and lift each others spirits.

Very Best,

The CCFF Staff
